Journey Rider (Kids Ride-On Luggage)
What age range is the Journey Rider designed for?
The Journey Rider is designed for children ages 1–6. The foldable seat supports up to 175 lbs, so even older children or adults can sit on it in a pinch — though it is optimized for kids under 50 lbs during riding.
Is the Journey Rider TSA-approved as a carry-on?
Yes. The Journey Rider 688 measures 20" × 13" × 9" and meets all major airline carry-on size requirements. It includes a built-in TSA-approved combination lock.
How does the brake system work?
The Journey Rider features dual brake pedals on the rear wheels. One step down locks both rear wheels simultaneously — essential on moving walkways, ramps, and airport slopes. Step again to release.
Can my child ride it through airport security?
Children should dismount before going through the security screening area. The suitcase goes through the X-ray conveyor like any other carry-on. After security, riding resumes immediately.
How much does it hold?
The Journey Rider 688 offers 22L of packing space with a front-access compartment for quick-grab items like tablets, snacks, and travel documents. The main compartment fits 3–4 days of children's clothing.

Do you offer a warranty?
Every MAITUD product comes with a 1-year limited warranty covering manufacturing defects. Normal wear and tear, airline damage, and misuse are not covered. Contact us to file a warranty claim.
What if my luggage arrives damaged?
Contact us within 48 hours of delivery with photos of the damage. We will send a replacement at no charge.
Product Care
How do I clean my MAITUD suitcase?
Wipe the polycarbonate shell with a soft, damp cloth. For stubborn marks, use a mild soap solution. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents. The interior lining can be spot-cleaned with a damp cloth.
Can I wash the seat cushion?
The seat cushion cover is removable and hand-washable. Air dry only — do not machine wash or tumble dry.
